Anytime you move into a new home it takes a little time to make it really feel like home. The stress of moving, getting into the house and unpacking can be a lot for someone to handle. If you’re looking to make your new manufactured home feel a little more homey check out these tips. they’re quick and affordable and sure to create a space that feels like a haven from the demands of the world.

Pictures | Before you unpack anything, locate your box of family photos and get those up on the wall ASAP. Seeing your family or friends smiling faces can make a huge difference in how you feel. If you’re waiting to get shelves or furniture in the house just set some frames on your window sills as a temporary solution.

Clean | Although your new home was probably cleaned before you move in, cleaning it yourself can help put your own special touch on it. Plus, everyone has their preferences in terms of what cleaning products they use. Personally, I feel right at home any time I smell Pine-Sol. You likely have a cleaner of choice as well.

Fridge | stock your refrigerator and cabinets with your favorite foods. Chances are you cleaned your cabinets, pantry and fridge from your last home and don’t have much to eat. By stocking your fridge you’ll have food to enjoy while you put the rest of your house together and might even be able to cook up a delicious meal for your family and/or friends.

Take a Walk | If you moved into a manufactured home community take a talk and get to know your neighbors. It helps to know who lives around you. If you put your home on a gorgeous piece of land just stroll around and take in your new atmosphere.

Plan a Get Together | Set a date a week or two from when you move in to have friends over. It’ll give you a little push to get unpacked and get you excited to show off your new digs.
